2003-today: Part time position as midwife and IBCLC at the National Resource Centre for Breastfeeding in Oslo, Norway. I’m in charge of the Resource Centres breastfeeding educational program for midwives, NICU-nurses, nurse assistants, health care visitors etc. on a national level. I also counsel breastfeeding women as well as providing prenatal breastfeeding counselling.
2000-2004: Started and worked at the first Norwegian Breastfeeding Clinic at Aker Sykehus, Oslo. The delivery- and maternity ward closed down in 2004 and the ABC, with clients and staff, was transferred to Ullevaal sykehus. Unfortunately they closed down the breastfeeding clinic for good. (11/2000-10/2001: maternity leave)
1997-2005: Part time position as midwife at ABC, Aker Sykehus, Oslo, Norway (1997-2004) and Ullevaal Sykehus, Oslo, Norway (2004-2005) ABC was the first Alternative Birth Care unit in Norway, I worked there since its start in 1997.
1993-today: Volunteer breastfeeding counsellor for “Ammehjelpen”, the Norwegian Mother-to-Mother support group for breastfeeding counselling. (Resembles to La Leche League)
